How to Download Videos from UC Drive Share Links
A complete 2026 guide to saving videos from UC Drive and UC Browser share links, including folders, passwords, and mobile downloads.
UC Drive share links are everywhere in messaging groups and forums, but the download button is not always obvious. This guide shows the exact steps to turn a public UC Drive or UC Browser share link into a normal video file you can watch offline.
What a UC Drive share link actually is
A UC Drive share link points to a file or folder stored on UC's cloud. The link contains a share ID, and that ID is what lets the share be opened without a UC account. Our downloader reads the public share, prepares a private download session, then streams the original file to your device.
That is why you do not need a UC account for a public share. The share link already contains the permission. A private file that was never shared cannot be opened this way, and we never ask for your UC password or session cookies.
Before you start
- Make sure the share is public. If the owner restricted it, ask them to create a public link.
- Copy the complete link, including the share ID after /s/.
- Check that you have enough free space for the video. A one-hour HD video can be several gigabytes.
- Use a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
Step 1: Copy the full share link
Open the message or post that contains the link and copy everything that starts with https://drive.ucweb.com/s/ or https://uc-share.com/s/. If the link includes a locale such as ?la=id, keep it. Extra tracking parameters are harmless and are ignored by the resolver.
Step 2: Paste it into the downloader
Go to the UC Video Downloader home page and paste the link into the search box. Click Download. The tool validates the share and builds a list of the videos it can access. This usually takes a second or two.
If the share is protected, the page asks for the password. You can also include it directly in the link as ?pwd=YOUR_PASSWORD. The password is used only to unlock the share and is not stored.
Step 3: Choose the video
The result panel lists each video with its name, size, resolution, and duration. Use the filter box if the folder contains hundreds of files. The sort menu can order files by name or size, which is useful when you are looking for the largest or smallest clip.
Only video files are listed. Documents, photos, and archives are outside the scope of this tool.
Step 4: Preview or download
Click Play to load the video into the built-in MP4 player, or click Download to save the original file. The player supports seeking, playback speed, picture-in-picture, and fullscreen. If you only need the file, skip the preview and download it directly.
Downloads are streamed through the service, so the browser sees a normal file download. Large files may take a while. Keep the tab open and avoid putting the device to sleep until the transfer finishes.
How to download a whole folder
Paste the folder share link, not a link to one file inside it. The resolver walks the folder tree and lists every video it finds, including videos in subfolders. Each file has its own button. Browsers usually block dozens of automatic downloads, so save the files you need one by one, or use the copy-link action and paste the links into a download manager. Our folder download guide explains the details.
Downloading on iPhone and Android
iPhone and iPad
Use Safari. Tap the download button, confirm the download, then open the Downloads list from the Safari toolbar. Files are saved in the Files app under Downloads. For very large videos, keep Safari in the foreground until the transfer completes.
Android
Chrome and most Android browsers save the file to the Downloads folder and show a notification when it is done. If the browser asks where to save, choose a location with enough free space. Mobile data limits can be reached quickly with HD videos.
Why some links do not work
- The share was deleted, expired, or made private by its owner.
- The link is incomplete or the share ID was cut off by the messaging app.
- The share needs a password that was not included.
- UC has not finished processing the video, so no playable URL exists yet.
- The folder contains no video files, or the link points to a subfolder without videos.
If you see a specific error, the troubleshooting guide maps each message to a fix.
A note on copyright
Only download videos that you own or have permission to save. A public share link is not the same as a license to redistribute the content. Respect the rights of creators and the privacy of the people in the videos.
