Video containers the resolver can list
Browser playback depends on the codecs inside the file. MP4 with H.264 and AAC is the most compatible choice.
A short explanation of the technology, the limits, and the right way to use a share link.
UC Drive is UCWeb's cloud storage service. When someone creates a public share link, the link itself grants read access to that share without a UC account. Our resolver reads the public share, lists the videos inside it, and prepares a short-lived private download session for the file you choose. The file is streamed through Cloudflare's edge, so your browser receives a normal download.
This is different from a screen recorder or a re-encoder. The original file is passed through unchanged. If the owner uploaded a 1080p MP4, you get that 1080p MP4. If the file is a MOV, you get the MOV.
Folder shares are the reason this tool exists. Opening a folder on a phone gives you a list of files, but saving dozens of videos one by one is slow. Paste the folder link and the resolver walks the folder tree, including nested subfolders, then presents every video in a filterable list. You can sort by name or size, preview a file, and download only what you need.
There is no ZIP button, and that is deliberate. Building an archive would require downloading every file through the server, compressing it, and sending a second copy to you. That is slower, breaks resume support, and is impractical for multi-gigabyte videos. A one-file-at-a-time workflow is faster and more reliable. For very large collections, use the copy-link action and paste the links into a download manager that supports resume.
The interface is responsive and works in Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, and other modern browsers. On iPhone, Safari saves downloads to the Files app. On Android, Chrome saves them to the Downloads folder. On a desktop, your browser's normal download manager takes over. Nothing needs to be installed, and no browser extension is required.
If you only want to watch a video, use the built-in MP4 player. It supports seeking, playback speed, picture-in-picture, and fullscreen. Local files can be opened directly in the player without being uploaded.
Every download URL generated by this service is encrypted with AES-GCM, bound to the connection that resolved the share, and set to expire after about 45 minutes. The original media URL is never exposed to the browser. That makes the links unsuitable for hotlinking or long-term redistribution, which is exactly the point.
The service does not store downloaded videos, does not ask for your UC password, and does not re-encode files. Cloudflare may keep standard security logs such as IP address and request time, as explained in the privacy policy.
Use it when a friend shares a folder of clips, when a course or community archive is distributed as a UC Drive link, or when you need to save a video you own to another device. Always respect copyright and the privacy of the people in the videos. A public link is not a license to redistribute content.
